Winston Churchill served as prime minister of the United Kingdom during the second world and claimed victory. However, he has served his country twice between 1940 to 1945 and between 1951 to 1955 to help the country in developing from war losses. Moreover, his career revolved around politics and journalism. He participated in writing in many journals to express his viewpoint and to motivate people. However, his contributions did not go in vain, and people retreated towards being supportive in the war.

Early Life

Churchill comes from a mixed background involving American and British culture. His family belongs to a rich heritage but were deficient in their present situation. His grandfather and father both had a political background. The government elected them as the Member of Parliament. Also, they both served a chunk of their life to the country. However, his mother was from America, and she had no financial support. So, Winston’s parents married in a small chapel in Paris and struggled to maintain their life financially. Young Churchill was very naughty in school but bright in studies. Eventually, as he grew up, his father ordered him to join the army after graduation. So, Churchill had work hard in army training in his last few years before graduation. However, after he graduated, some months later, his father died, which deprived him of further career guidance.

Political Career Of Winston Churchill

After graduation, as promised, he joined the army and was first placed in Aldershot. Eventually, he got promoted enough to take up big projects. He fought the war of independence of Cuba and moved to America to assist Barnes. Moreover, he learned many political and military aspects from Barnes and helped him in running British India. While traveling and helping in British India, he realized that his knowledge is very scarce compared to other members of his team. So, he started adopting self-study and read books from many famous authors such as Charles Dickens. He increased his efforts to become a political figure in the year 1900 and started attending the conservative party’s meeting. However, it was tough for him to gain a suitable position without any contacts.

Involvement In World Wars

As Churchill’s political graph improved exponentially, he started switching essential positions. He acquired areas such as President of Trade, Home Secretary, and other such boards. However, he tried to participate in World War I by looking after commands but failed miserably. So, he resigned from the position and supported the wars in the western front by doing the little that he can. Furthermore, he became President of the country in the year 1940 and helped in World War II. Moreover, he gave excellent speeches which motivated the people of the country to fight and stay healthy for their country.

Thus, Churchill played an essential role in the victory of World War II, and people even gave him credit for it. Moreover, the government again appointed him as the President in the year 1951. This time his role included developing the country from the after-effects of the war.
